A new favourite song
I have been loving Patty Griffin lately and I found this youtube video of my favourite song of hers called "up to the mountain"- a it's a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr, a hero of mine. The song is so beautiful and the words are so full of imagery and her voice is so rich. I hope that you like it too.

Ode to daylight
Today is the first day of daylight savings time and it was time to "spring forward". And, while most people hate losing an hour of sleep- I LOVE daylight savings day. I can't even tell you how happy I am to have an extra our of sun, especially after such a long (and unfortunately continuing) winter. Granted, I did get up at 11:30 this morning, because of the hour we lost and a late night last night, but it was more than worth it on my drive home tonight as the sun lingered in the sky and then lazily set. Ahhh daylight savings day, the beginning of long spring and summer evenings, patios, bbqs, lakes, camping and beautiful weather.
